Hey there, I’m Hannah!

From being a curious kid to being a conversational adult, I’ve always been asking questions - wanting to better understand the world around me and the people in it. One day, I discovered that asking those people-focused questions could be my career and I was obviously ecstatic!

I come to User Research and Experience Design via a background in event and project management. Basically, this means that on top of being a human-centered creator, I can coordinate complex projects and keep various stakeholders happy as clams, all while producing an end result that feels effortless and fun for the audience I’m serving!

Some areas of the UX world that really get me excited are:

  • User Research (User Interviews, Journey Mapping, Building Personas, Localization)

  • Information Architecture (User Flows, Wireframes, Gestalt principles)

  • Interface Design (Web Accessibility Standards, Copywriting, Style Guides)

As a colleague, I’m a transparent communicator and an accountable teammate.  As a manager, I lead with empathy, delegate fairly, and foster an environment for personal and professional growth. As a mentee, I am a human-sponge and am thoughtful to make effective use of precious time.

When I’m not designing or trying to make sense of the world, I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking and indulging in epicurean delights as an amateur home chef and a professional patron of eateries and breweries (living in Seattle has been the best decision I’ve ever made). I’ve got lots of dear friends and family beyond Seattle’s borders, who I love visiting and hosting as much as possible.

So, now that you’ve learned a little about me, I’d like to learn about you! Put those contact options to work and let’s chat.
